Joe Ewig Joins CivicPoint’s Columbus Team
Former director of government relations and communications for the Ohio Grocers Association, has joined CivicPoint LLC, as vice president in the firm’s Columbus office.

Ewig will assist in the firm's continued growth in Ohio, helping both business and community organizations to develop public policy positions and connect with policymakers throughout the state.
“We are thrilled to have Joe’s extensive legislative experience and knowledge onboard at CivicPoint in Ohio,” said Senior Vice President Deb Hackathorn. “His expertise in association policy development and work with a variety of industries in Ohio will be a tremendous asset to the firm.”
CivicPoint is being retained by the Ohio Grocers Association to continue to assist in representing the Association’s policy interests in Ohio at the direction of OGA President Kristin Mullins. Prior to his role with the Ohio Grocers Association, Ewig served as legislative aide to Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) during Patton’s tenure in the Ohio Senate, as a campaign manager with the Ohio Senate Campaign Committee, and as an intern for Congressman Dave Camp (R-Midland) in Washington D.C. Ewig is a native of Xenia, OH, and earned a history degree from Calvin College, in Grand Rapids, MI.
